1. Become a Member of the Mid-Journey Discord Channel
Go to Midjourney.com and sign up for the Beta or simply head straight to the Midjourney Discord.
To access the Mid Journey Discord server, you’ll first need your own Discord login. Follow this link to create one!
Earlier they were providing a trial option, where you could complete up to 25 jobs before needing to subscribe. But now, they have ended the trial option. To take advantage of this fantastic opportunity, you have to subscribe to them! Here is their Monthly and yearly plan. You can manage it from your account page after signing up at Midjourney.
2. Locate a Newbies Channel
Once you’re in the MidJourney channel, search for a newbie’s channel in the side panel. Multiple newcomer rooms are available, where you can see artworks created by users, including your own.
Choose any newbies channel or general channel and start generating your artwork.
3. Quick Generation
Now, it’s time to create your first image with the command: /imagine prompt:
- Use /imagine to initiate image generation
- Enter words that describe the image you want, either in general terms or with more specific styles and details
- Press return and wait for the result
Example: /imagine prompt: two charming ants embark on adventures in a chocolate factory
4. Mid Journey Processes Your Request
The Midjourney Bot will produce four incredible options for you to choose from in just a few seconds!
Since many users send commands simultaneously, you might need to scroll back up to find your creation.
5. Enhance or Create Variations
Once the image grid is ready, two rows of buttons appear, granting you even greater control over your project.
U buttons: increase an image’s size while maintaining its quality.
V buttons: create subtle variations of a selected grid image.
The numbers 1–4 correspond to images starting from the top left and moving clockwise
The 🔄 (re-roll): restarts a Job. It reuses the prompt, generating an entirely new set of images!
You can also opt to enlarge the image using the AI Image Enlarger
6. Create Variations and Rate Images
Create Variations: Generates an improved version of the image and presents four options in a fresh grid layout.
Beta/Light Upscale Redo: Reapply the upscale using a different upscaling model.
Web: Opens the image in your gallery

7. Save Your Masterpiece
Simply click on the image to open it, then right-click to save. On mobile devices, long-tap the image and you’ll see a download icon in the upper right corner. It’s that simple!

Initially, I had trouble finding my images until I discovered a method to save them individually.
Click the “Reaction” button on a message and select the standard envelope emoji ✉️. The bot will send you a DM shortly!
Your Direct Messages will contain all necessary images and Job IDs. You can do the same with artwork created by other users as well!
