A new feature for WhatsApp may allow users to record voice notes and post them as status updates on their profile.
The release of this feature is not yet complete and it has not been released to beta users.
“The WhatsApp status updates are now being extended to voice notes,” according to the report.
A voice note update shared as a status may be named “Voice Status”
The status feature will only be shared with the people you choose, and the messages will be encrypted as other images and videos in your status.

Few days back, the platform introduced a new feature that would let users select any emoji to react to messages.
Currently, the platform only offers six possible reactions to messages.
Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta mentioned some emojis like a robot, french fries, and surfing in the sea, etc.
The most recent reports also indicate that WhatsApp is working on a new App feature for iOS users which will allow for more privacy and give them the ability to hide their online status from people.
Currently, WhatsApp users are able to choose who has access to their “Last Seen” status – contacts, some people, or no one. In a future version of the app, there will be an option that is similar to online toggle.
