10 Signs Showing You Might Be an Extrovert

10 Signs Showing You Might Be an Extrovert

Do meeting people bring you joy? Does it make you feel happy? Does being in a good social gathering make you feel energized and charged up? If you answered these questions with a “yes”, you might be an extrovert!

If you don’t get enough socialization you don’t feel good and may be super low in energy. The “Five-Factor Model of Personality” states introversion-extroversion as a huge mark that differs between the types of personalities of human beings. Well, sometimes the differences between the traits are clearly visible, but that is not always the case, people tend to have multiple traits that make the line blurry.

What are the commonly visible traits a person with an introverted personality carries? The traits you can look for in an individual that can show if they are an extrovert are as follows-

Spending time with people makes you feel energized

Introverts feel that their energy is being drained when they enter a social gathering. Extroverts on the other hand are exactly the opposite of them. They not only feel good spending time with people but they gain energy from the same. Talking to people never makes them feel uncomfortable or off, they rather enjoy it.

You like to be the host of gatherings

When you and your friends plan a party, is it you who wishes to host it every time? Or do you like to host gatherings in general?

If yes, you might be an extrovert. Extroverts enjoy planning and executing events. They like to get involved socially with people, they prefer to be the person who is “known to all.”

A good amount of social media Interactions

Do you talk to a lot of people on your social media platforms? Are your Instagram, Snapchat, WhatsApp all full of notifications and that make you feel good? If yes, you might be an extrovert.

Extroverted people not only like to talk to people face to face, but also they find ways to interact with people online, be it their friends, known people, or even go on using different platforms to interact with strangers for that matter.

Not hesitant in Sharing What they feel

An individual with an extroverted personality, won’t mind sharing their emotions with their friend or anyone they trust. When an extrovert is comfortable with you and they face an issue in their life, they will straight away call you, not for a solution but to simply talk about it and share how they feel about the situation.

An Approachable and Open Personality

As much as an extrovert is open about their feelings with the people they trust, others also most often go with the flow and reflect the same for them. People consider them as a person who are easily approachable and can be talked with without hesitation. They are not reserved or the ones who carry any barriers for others, rather they are open to communication.

Prefers Working In Groups

In a situation of work where an introvert will look for an individual project, introverts will always look for a project where they can work with people, and where they can interact and socialize. Working individually might not bring enough positive results for them as compared to working with groups.

Prefers Communicating by Talking

In a situation where you feel like sharing your thoughts with your friend about something, would you prefer texting/writing or rather talking to the person about your emotions? If your answer is talking, you might be an introvert!

Whenever someone sends you some texts and you want to continue the communication, you won’t hesitate in asking the person “are you comfortable with a call rather than the texts?”. You believe communications are healthy and can solve issues rather than any other mode of communication.

Huge Social Circle

Extroverts tend to make friends anywhere they go. They indulge in talks and make the other person feel comfortable by showing several gestures expressing that they are comfortable with them. They are outgoing people who attract socialization. Extroverts easily blend in with other people because of this they become a part of every group.

Conclusion

Personalities are of different kinds, and no type is better than the other one. Extroverts-introverts are just one type of distinguishing personality. The blurry line where the person does not carry clear traits of either personality is when the person is an “Ambivert”. Make sure you are never worried about which personality type you lie in because types are formed of no structural base, and no type of personality is better than another. So the trick is to simply be yourself and love the way you are and who you are!
