The efficiency of the new technology in ensuring the security of products has led to more companies realizing their potential use. Manufacturers have begun to use NFTs in the industry after realizing their efficiency.
A renowned GT racing team, that is sponsored by the Lamborghini Motorsport department, has started to use a non-fungible token (NFT) in order to verify the quality of racing car parts. The team, Vincenzo Sospiri Racing (VSR), has partnered with Go2NFT to bring this programme to fruition.
Former GT Racing champion Vincenzo Sospiri announced an exclusive partnership with Go2NFT for the NFT authentication of both racing and motor vehicle parts.
Vincenzo Sospiri, former champion of GT Racing said that Go2NFT will enable them to launch a certification program for their race cars on Sky Network. They’ll be able to monitor and certify the quality of car parts with the new functionality and use it as an example for similar programs in the automotive industry.
To ensure that performance is monitored and provenance is tracked, every aspect of our racing fleet will be certified and audited.
NFT certification prevents counterfeit goods from entering the market. Companies can use this technology to ensure quality and safety for their consumers.
Boris Agesmont, the top executive of Go2NFT Marketplace, commented on the new partnership and said he “understands the challenges many sports brands are currently facing”. He further added:
We are excited about the potential of NFT platforms that help companies connect with their consumers more effectively. This is just the beginning of many such collaborations for other companies looking to be transparent with their fans.
Partnerships With Other Racing Car Manufacturers
Racing teams, such as Red Bull Racing, are currently implementing blockchain technologies and announcing successful partnerships. Earlier this month, they partnered with a crypto exchange called Bybit to create a sponsorship deal worth $150.
Ben Zhou, the founder of Bybit, said this in an interview, “This new partnership will allow us the opportunity to reach newcomers to our game and crypto space.”
Crypto.com partnered with Aston Martin’s Formula 1 team, which allows them to understand the crypto space & show ads for the exchange in March 2022. The two were spotted in March 2022 and Jefferson Slack noted that Crypto.com allowed them to see the space from a new angle.
