Strong NFT sales for the new year, up 26% in the first week of 2023, and double-digit growth for the top 5 blockchains

NFT sales climbed in the initial week of 2023, with a seven-day volume rise of 26.01% from the prior week and a total of around $208.99 m in NFT purchases. The top 5 NFT-issuing blockchain technologies also experienced growth during the past week.

With $19 million worth of sales, Bored Ape NFT Series leads the pack and represents a growth of 52.82% from the previous week

NFT sales figures show a 26.01% rise in the initial week of the current year compared to the final week of 2022. According to Cryptoslam.io stats, 400,748 NFT purchasers participated in 1.2 million NFT transactions. 19 distinct blockchain networks saw NFT sales totalling $208.99 million, with Ethereum taking home $164.35 million.

This week, sales of NFTs based on Ethereum are up 26.22%, followed by those of NFTs based on Cardano (+35.97%), Immutable X (+20.83%), Solana (+28.8%), as well as BNB (+71.35%). BNB saw the biggest gain over the last 7 days with a 71% jump, while Theta saw the second-largest increase this week with a 69.82% rise.

Ape Club (BAYC) had the highest NFT set in sales terms over the previous week, with $19,052,102 in revenues, a 52.82% rise from the week before. The Bored Ape Kennel Club, Captainz, Azuki, as well as Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), came after BAYC. In regards to seven-day NFT purchases by collection, Cryptopunks and Mineablepunks came in sixth and seventh, respectively.

The Mineablepunks NFT series was the source of the top five most costly NFTs sold this week. Mineablepunks are among the top five. Sales for the Mineablepunks NFT series for the last week were $5,498,938, however, they were 49.50% less than they were the week before.

On January 8, 2022, BAYC NFTs again had the most costly floor value, at 81.49 ether, according to statistics from nftpricefloor.com. At 1:30 p.m. (ET) on Sunday, Cryptopunks had a floor price of roughly 66.88 ether, which was less than the BAYC floor cost at that moment.
