What Happens in Your Brain During Orgasm?

What Happens in Your Brain During Orgasm

Sex can be very emotionally connected for people that is why a lot of people might even cry during or after having sex. Experiencing an orgasm is not just a physical gesture, rather our brain plays games with our entire body by regulating signals. These signals are sent to and from our genitals too, making the orgasm even better.

Orgasm for Females

Every part of the female organ including the cervix, vagina and clitoris can make them experience a different orgasm, just imagine when they all come together. Every part of the above three has a different trigger point in our brain because of which the orgasm each can provide is different.

Orgasm for Males

For the penis owners, it can be a comparatively little complex as they believe that their “orgasm gaining” body past is just their penis. But guess what, that’s not true. Even men can enjoy multiple orgasms With their “Prostate” glands. It gets better with practice and makes sex even more fun for you.

The practice includes masturbation. Also, it is true that men cannot possibly have multiple ejaculating orgasms but that doesn’t mean they cannot have multiple orgasms at all. Without ejaculating the semen (which is the final stage) you can reach the climax multiple times. The more you delay your gratification, the more satisfying your orgasm will be.

Brain Pre-Orgasm

As you are getting close to your orgasm, the brain reaches out to your genitals. And not just genitals are affected by these brain receptors, but any arousing area including your thighs, your waistline, and even your chest region. Any such area that can make you feel pleasure is activated with utmost power.

Why does this happen? This happens as the brain gives a huge rush of blood to any such muscle of the body that can help you in the process. This muscle tension increases the level of your experience.

Before you reach orgasm another thing that helps you feel “nirvana” includes your sexual fantasies. Everything you imagine, or ever imagined before that how it is gonna be and finally, it’s happening. Everything you desire to happen in bed is happening, the thought alone can arouse you and different regions of your body.

Moreover, with such thoughts, you stay very focused while having sex because of which all your attention stays on receiving the orgasm, increasing the intensity of the orgasm.

Lots of couples try to shut some of their senses for the same reason. For example blindfolded sex, as when you close the source of one receptor, others become more active and focused, leading to a beautiful experience of sexual intercourse and if it goes well crazy multiple orgasms.

Brain during Orgasm

The game of hormones becomes very strong here, even better than in the pre-orgasm phase. Here dopamine is released, which is responsible for our happiness and even reduces our stress. Even serotonin is released here which is another hormone that will leave a huge smile on your face, once serotonin is secreted it feels like it takes away your issues in life.

Dopamine also has other roles here like releasing other necessary hormones which help in regulating the temperature of your body as things get heavy and hot (make sure they do, or else what’s the fun).

When you are reaching your orgasm, you might feel like you are not under your own control. Why does this happen? This happens as reaching orgasm shuts down our orbitofrontal cortex which is responsible for the decision-making process. So as reaching the climax shuts the organ down, we can make the least rational and most stupid choices in bed.

The way you talk at that point is somewhat not in your control. You might scream louder than how you intend to do so or you might have a high daring feeling in the bed. This happens because you can’t really make a decision very easily and end up losing control.

Another hormone included in the process is Vasopressin, which is common for both males and females. When you are reaching close to erection, the level of arousal increases and this hormone pushes us further. The work of this hormone is to increase the level of sexual motivation which pushes people to not stop and keep engaging in sex.

Conclusion

After orgasm comes to the stage when you are most relaxed and calm. Both females and males release hormones that make them calm and happy, but it is fair to say that Women release more “feel happy” hormones. Most of the people here think they know it all but that is where they go wrong. There are always more and better ways to make yourself and your partner feel satisfied. Keep trying and keep exploring your bodies, don’t be hesitant.

Be accepting and open to the body flaws of your partner, make them feel comfortable, and appreciate their body because a lot of people are not comfortable with their naked bodies.

Orgasms play a huge role in not just your specific parts but your entire body, so make them as interesting as possible. Don’t just enjoy your time but also fulfil your partner and make them remember your hot time. In the end, most importantly, be yourself, love yourself.
